This assignment called for the use of equal amounts of positive and negative space using only black and white coloring. I think I did pretty well with the assignment. I will find out in a few days how well I really did when we get our grades.
This is our first assignment for the Fundamentals of Design class. A design exercise using 2 shapes with black and white coloring. I used illustrator to get the project done, since I am not real comfortable with that program yet. I sure am learning how to get around illustrator with the next few assignments.
I am hoping to get a good critique from the class.
Well I got an A in the Concept Development class!!! I have a few weeks to relax for the next class doesn't start until January 12th. Time to catch up on stuff around the house that I have been putting off. Plus being the end of the year I need to upgrade software on the PC. So I will be busy for awhile. Hope everyone has a Wonderful New Year!

I used my break time at work to make paper mock ups of both, to make sure I could make them to scale without wasting materials I would need to purchase for the project. Here is a picture of the paper mock ups:
On this assignment we needed 20 different types of shipper-displays for an impulse item that is usually sold at checkout counters. Here is what I turned in:
